BAG Submission to Scottish Government Aviation Strategy Consultation

BAG has produced a submission to the Scottish Government Aviation Strategy Consultation.
In BAG’s Strategic Framework one of BAG’s desired outcomes is “BAG facilitates opportunities for our members to network and build collaborative relationships with the widest representation of the UK supply chain”. This is underpinned by promoting a Regional Structure, i.e. truly working with the whole of the UK. BAG therefore operates a BAG Scottish Region that represents interests of BAG and its Members, and provides a community for Members based within this particular geographic area.

Aviation & Infrastructure play a key part in the Scottish economy, helping to connect people across the UK, Scottish islands, Europe and the rest of the world. As we now engage in the era of transition required to achieve net zero, BAG envisage an aviation strategy that supports an integrated transport environment in terms of physical infrastructure, energy supply and passenger experience with clients and supply chain collaborating to drive solutions in the timeframe required. Please view the full submission document here.

BAG Stand at Passenger Terminal Expo PTE 2022 *Change of date & last sponsorship packages left!*
Re-scheduled 15 – 17 June 2022
Paris Expo Porte De Versailles I Paris, France

The British Aviation Group is pleased to announce the return of the increasingly popular BAG stand sponsorship packages at Passenger Terminal Expo, taking place in Paris in 2022. Over the years the BAG stand at PTE has grown considerably, becoming one of the main networking hubs for the aviation industry to meet and do business. This is due to our BAG member companies sponsoring the stand and drawing in the interest and key players in the industry.

The BAG Sponsorship stand package is one of the most affordable and effective ways to exhibit at this world class show.  The location for 2022 means companies will benefit from a very visible presence at the show due to our stand location.  The package is sold to the BAG members only, which will ensure our members receive the most exclusive service.

Engagement Opportunities- have you considered joining one of BAG's SIGs or Regions?

BAG Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Four dedicated Special Interest Groups (SIGs) have been formed to represent joint interests within the airport development sector. These groups are led by a nominated representative with the task of developing specific sector strategies, identifying target markets and advising the Board on issues affecting the sector. You can find the dates of their next meetings below.

  • BAG Security Group Meeting- 10 February 2022
  • BAG Next Gen meeting- 10 February 2022
  • Joint Airport Consultants Group & Equipment & Operations Suppliers meeting- 24 February 2022

BAG Regions
In the British Aviation Group’s Strategic Framework one of BAG’s desired outcomes is “BAG facilitates opportunities for us to network and build collaborative relationships with the widest representation of the UK supply chain”. This is underpinned by promoting Regional Structure, i.e. truly working with the whole of the UK. BAG Regions are open to all BAG members but it is hoped that they will enable greater participation in BAG by the regional offices of BAG member companies, and attract new members for whom a London based offer has been too difficult to access.

  • BAG Regions allow BAG members to have a voice and forum in the locality
  • Their aim is to provide a focus for members to help improve their penetration of UK, the local airport market and global aviation markets using the region as a focus for sharing information, collaboration and networking.

You can find the dates of their next meetings below:

  • BAG Northern Region- 26 January 2022
  • BAG Northern Ireland meeting- 15 February 2022
  • BAG Scottish Region meeting- re-scheduled to the 16 February 2022
