The Benefits

We employ a number of methods to promote our Members and their expertise.

Members Directory

With the online Directory of products and services available 365 days of the year, our Members Directory provides an ideal opportunity for each member to promote their business free of charge. The Directory is categorised by product and/or service as well as by capabilities and sustainability capability and cross-referenced with a full Member contact listing. Our online directory allows Members to share their latest project successes in the airport and aviation sector.

Social Media

With over 5500 connections across our social media accounts, we are able to get our Members’ news to a large and targeted audience. Connect with us on Twitter and LinkedIn to find out more.

In addition, BAG offers its Members the opportunity to increase their brand awareness by sponsoring a number of its sold-out events throughout the year. Please contact a member of the Secretariat on 0207 091 4540 for more details.

Our Members receive business critical market information on a regular basis. We provide key intelligence and background information on specific markets and projects and, where new information is required, we utilise our broad network on contacts to carry out research on your behalf.

Business Intelligence Centre

Our Business Intelligence Centre offers the latest information on airport projects across the world. The aim is to keep our Members ahead of the game by helping them to identify potential business opportunities using market intelligence gathered from a range of sources.

Members are able to tailor their preferences by region and capability to ensure that they get only the most relevant information to them.

Daily Airport & Aviation Sector News

We review all of the major industry news sources, as well as the mainstream media, to bring you all of the latest news and information from the industry in one place.

Events

Our experienced team organises a comprehensive event programme in the UK and overseas to help Members develop their network of contacts and further their export activities. Ranging from networking events and briefings to one-to-one meetings and overseas missions, we have something to suit all businesses.

Our programme of inward visits and outward missions is supported by Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and helps companies to identify where opportunities exist, meet with government officials, airport authorities, contractors and potential agents, and gain insight into trading with specific countries. Funding is also often available to eligible SMEs to help them attend overseas missions and exhibitions.

Our programme of networking events is also hugely popular with many of our key events selling out each year. Our busy calendar includes:

  • Members Day
  • Regional Reception
  • Summer Seminar & Evening Reception
  • BAG Annual Dinner

In addition, we negotiate discounted rates for our Members to a number of major exhibitions and conferences throughout the year. Our current events calendar can be viewed here.

Special Interest Groups

Four dedicated Special Interest Groups (SIGs) have been formed to represent joint interests within the airport development sector. These groups are led by a nominated representative with the task of developing specific sector strategies, identifying target markets and advising the Board on issues affecting the sector.

Airport Consultants Group (ACG)

As world leaders in aviation and airport consultancy, the ACG’s 80 members seek to maximise the penetration of the global market by UK consultants in the airport sector; to act as an interface between Members and Government; and to encourage the formation of UK teams to bid for major projects.

BAG Security Group

With the growing complexity of airport security and wide range of world-class security products and services on offer by UK companies, the BAG Security Group aims to provide a forum for Members who work in this area.

Each group meets quarterly and offer insights from key industry guest speakers. These meetings also offer a short networking session immediately before or after the meeting.

Equipment & Operations Suppliers Group (EOSG)

Britain is one of the world leaders in both the operation of airports and the supply of services, products and technology. Our reputation for quality, professionalism and service excellence stretches around the world. The recent creation of the equipment and operations suppliers group EOSG within BAG, has been created specifically to focus on developing and promoting these core sectors within the UK and Internationally.

The Next Generation Group

The Next Gen group is made up of a number of individuals from various companies within the British Aviation Group. The aim is to create networking and knowledge sharing opportunities for younger BAG members, to work closely with airports, government, educational bodies and industry, and to use knowledge and thought leadership to provide insight into latest innovation and trends.

BAG Regions

In the British Aviation Group’s Strategic Framework one of BAG’s desired outcomes is “BAG facilitates opportunities for us to network and build collaborative relationships with the widest representation of the UK supply chain”. This is underpinned by promoting Regional Structure, i.e. truly working with the whole of the UK. BAG Regions are open to all BAG members but it is hoped that they will enable greater participation in BAG by the regional offices of BAG member companies, and attract new members for whom a London based offer has been too difficult to access.

  • BAG Regions allow BAG members to have a voice and forum in the locality
  • Their aim is to provide a focus for members to help improve their penetration of UK, the local airport market and global aviation markets using the region as a focus for sharing information, collaboration and networking.

The BAG Northern Region Group

The Northern Region has been created specifically to focus and promote transferable knowledge, awareness of potential opportunities both in the UK and overseas, to facilitate networking and raise company and individual profiles. The aim is to influence key stakeholders from local government, airports and airlines.

The BAG Scottish Region Group

The BAG Scottish Region will allow BAG members to have a voice and forum in the locality, with an aim to provide a focus for members to help improve their penetration of UK, the local airport market and global aviation markets using the region as a focus for sharing information, collaboration and networking.

The BAG Northern Ireland Region

The BAG Northern Ireland Region will allow BAG members to have a voice and forum in the locality, with an aim to provide a focus for members to help improve their penetration of UK, local market and global aviation markets using the region as a focus for sharing information, collaborating and networking.
