BAG Chair Announcement

I was delighted and honoured to take over from Graham Bolton as the BAG Chair for the next two years following the BAG AGM yesterday. Graham has done a fantastic job in taking BAG forward. I am thrilled to be the new BAG chair supporting the group and continuing to provide world class expertise which will go on to help shape the future of the aviation sector. It was fantastic to see over 200 BAG Members and their guests at this year’s BAG Seminar and Drinks Reception at the Brewery in London.

Jason Fowler, Chair of the British Aviation Group

BAG Seminar and Evening Reception- 29 September 2021

Yesterday, BAG celebrated its first LIVE event with the BAG Seminar & Evening Reception at The Brewery in London. The event  provided the opportunity to come together as the aviation community, for the first time since the start of the pandemic, and network with leading airport clients, representatives of UK Government and colleagues from across the UK supply chain and with key stakeholders from Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport, London City Airport, Leeds Bradford Airport, Bristol Airport, IATA, ADS, Department for International Trade as well as Department for Transport. To view the pictures of the evening as well as the event brochure please click here.

We would like to thank our guest speakers and facilitators for a fantastic panel session looking at Innovation in Aviation and the key areas affecting the UK and international aviation industry:

  • Gary Cutts ISCF Future Flight Challenge Director

  • Mike Miller-Smith MBE FRAeS Chief Executive, Aerobility

As well we as our speakers, we would like to thank Bechtel, British- Irish Airports Expo Group, Gardiner & Theobald and CEM Systems for sponsoring the event.

BAG's chosen charity for the event was Aerobility, please continue to support this excellent organisation. If you would like to donate, please click here!

BAG Board Elections 2021- Announcement
Every Board member is elected for a term of three years and this year six positions came up for re-election. Further to the call for nominations for the BAG Board we received a total of six applications all of which meet the eligibility criteria for Board membership. As this matched the number of Board vacancies this year, there was no need to run an election process. In line with the BAG Constitution the six nominations were formally ratified at the BAG Annual Meeting on 29 September 2021 and we are delighted to confirm those Board Members:

  • Tim Walder, Arcadis
  • Graham Beardwell, Arup
  • Alan Corner, Egis
  • Graham Bolton, Mott MacDonald
  • Catherine Workman, Pinsent Masons
  • Richard Stafford, Turner & Townsend

BAG Annual Meeting 2021 – 29 September 2021

The British Aviation Group will be hosting for the first time the UK Pavilion at inter airport europe on 9-12 November 2021 in a prominent area in Hall 6 adjacent to one of the doors leading to the external exhibition area. This will be the 23rd edition of inter airport europe, the world’s leading airport exhibition, which covers all areas of airport-related technology, equipment, and services, all in one place.  As part of the TERMINAL segment, the show offers solutions and equipment for the construction and operation of terminal buildings, the architectural design, equipment, and planning stage of the airport. The DATA area covers airport IT systems, data management solutions as well as connected systems and IT processes to handle passengers, operations as well as air traffic. The RAMP segment covers ground handling, ground support equipment, runway constructions and installations.

Benefits of exhibiting within the UK Pavilion:

  • Support pre-show and during the show by a dedicated Event Manager
  • Entry to the UK Pavilion exhibitor brochure
  • Access to catering and meeting table area on BAG stand
  • Additional promotion of your presence by BAG and the event organisers

Our sponsorship package includes many benefits and is an affordable way to meet those all-important industry contacts. This is a great opportunity to be present at the show without taking a full stand and has proven very popular at other big shows such as PTE. BAG is therefore looking at the option to offer a similar sponsorship opportunity – i.e. a logo and lounge package for inter airport Europe.

Stand Package

  • Logo on dedicated wall within the BAG UK Pavilion lounge (logos will be in Alpha order)
  • QR code for lead capture opportunities
  • Inclusion in the event guide
  • Inclusion in the online event guide
  • Support pre-show and during the show by a dedicated Event Manager
  • Entry to the UK Pavilion exhibitor brochure
  • Access to catering and meeting table area on BAG stand

Should this option be of interest to you please email Claire Parsons to register your interest by 24 September and she will send out cost and package information. For more information on the UK Pavilion, please click here.
