The 3rd edition of The Saudi Airport Exhibition & Conference is the largest dedicated airport event in the Kingdom, focused on Saudi Arabia’s massive airport expansion and modernisation requirements.

In pursuit of its Vision 2030 strategy, Saudi Arabia is set to revolutionize its aviation sector, aiming to combine their $100Bn investment to triple airport capacity and create “The World’s New Aviation Hub”.

Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), revealed the Kingdom's comprehensive plan to develop airports, airlines, and related facilities. The ambitious strategy includes expanding air connectivity to over 250 destinations globally, attracting $100 billion in investments.

Focusing on Expansion, Innovation and Collaboration, the event provides the Kingdom’s aviation authorities with the tools and connections necessary to deliver the Saudi Aviation Strategy.

Air transport is integral to achieving Vision 2030, as Saudi Arabia aims to connect with over 250 destinations and secure a spot among the top five global air passenger transit hubs. It is expected to experience the fastest passenger traffic growth in the Middle East from 2020 to 2040. To support this vision, the Kingdom has launched the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, involving an investment of over $130 billion in transport-related projects, including establishing a new airline, airport expansions, and tripling airport capacity by 2030.

With 28 main airports of varying sizes, the strategy focuses on expanding 4 of the Kingdom’s 6 international airports and approximately 90 percent of regional airports.
