BAG Virtual Get Together Webinar: Aerospace UP (Unlocking Potential)- 28 March 2022 *Register Now!*
On 28 March 2022, the British Aviation Group will be joined by Liz Griffiths and Andy Leather from Aerospace UP to outline the opportunities for BAG Members to get involved in this programme. If your business or indeed companies in your supply chain are based in the Midlands Region and is a qualifying SME (EU definition) – please join the webinar and find out more about how this programme could help unleash your potential in the widest innovation / research & development arenas and support your business. There will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A, so we are looking forward to your active participation in this session.
Aerospace UP is a £20m programme transforming companies across the Midlands. Support on offer includes innovation grants (from £1,000 and up to £100,000) and access to aerospace experts, research centres, student placements and events. Our team of highly-experienced technology managers are ready to speak with you in confidence to help you explore the potential for your products, services and capabilities for success in aerospace. If your company is eligible, they will design the best package of funding and support for your goals.
The programme is open to SMEs in any sector who are based in the Midlands region and would like to unleash their potential in the aerospace and aviation supply chains. The programme is being delivered by the University of Nottingham in partnership with the Midlands Aerospace Alliance, and is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

BAG March Board Meeting and Northern Ireland Regional Networking Reception - 22 March 2022
Yesterday, on 22 March 2022 the BAG Board travelled to Belfast to hold their latest quarterly meeting followed by the Regional Networking Reception in Belfast at the Titanic Hotel. Board members discussed latest updates on BAG's strategic priorities and explored new areas such as skills and future workforce. We would like to thank board members for their participation as well as our guest speaker Larry O’Toole, Head of Functions – Infrastructure at Dublin Airport who spoke at the Regional Reception as well as the Chair Brian Lewis from RSK, the Deputy Chair Freddie Patterson from Lagan and BAG Board member Darrell Swanson for their contribution to the event,
BAG facilitates three BAG Regions (one of which being Northern Ireland) which allow BAG members to have a voice and forum in the locality. Their aim is to provide a focus for members to help improve their penetration of UK, the local airport market and global aviation markets using the region as a focus for sharing information, collaboration and networking. BAG Regions are open to all BAG members, but it is hoped that they will enable greater participation in BAG by the regional offices of BAG member companies and attract new members for whom a London based offer has been too difficult to access. BAG Members Day & Networking Reception - Sustainability and Innovation- 10 March 2022 *Recording & Slides Available*
On 10 March 2022, BAG held their first LIVE BAG Members Day in 2022 in central London from 13:00-17:30 followed by a Networking Reception. The event was themed around Sustainability and Innovation.
Similarly, to our October 2021 session, the 2022 March BAG Members Day will once again ran as an interactive workshop for all member companies.
Client expectations around sustainability are escalating all the while as they strive towards their net zero and decarbonization targets. It is no longer an option for the supply chain to ignore this important challenge. So we are delighted to once again welcome back the Connected Places Catapult to this Members Day to help guide BAG members on their own transformative journey towards enhanced sustainability through innovation.

| UK Pavilion Airport Show Dubai 2022- *Register your Interest!*
17-19 May 2022
We are delighted to announce that we looking to host once again a UK Pavilion at Airport Show Dubai this year and wanted to give you the opportunity to register your interest for this year’s event. We are currently finalising the packages and information in relation to this event, which we hope to be able to release soon.
The UK Pavilion is located within Hall 2 next to the French Pavilion and very close to the Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects and Hosted Buyers Lounge so an ideal location for high footfall.
As with other BAG events we have dedicated contractors to assist with your participation at the event. These details will follow once a booking has been confirmed. If you have an interest in exhibiting with us then please reply to Claire Parsons |
