UK Parliament

The Westminster Hall Debate on the future of regional airports took place on 7 July 2021. MPs raised a number of points, including the need for support for regional connectivity, as well as the importance of aviation playing its role in the UK’s Net Zero targets. In his response, the Aviation Minister highlighted “the importance of this regional aviation network has been seen as never before during the Covid crisis” and that a regional air connectivity review will be published “as part of the strategic framework for recovery of the sector.” The debate can be read here:  Regional Airports - Volume 698: debated on Wednesday 7 July 2021
