Covid marshals will be on hand to help passengers when international travel restarts on Monday

Virtual queueing, Covid marshals and thousands of Dettol wipes are among measures unveiled by British Airways and Heathrow to restore passenger confidence ahead of the restart of international leisure travel from England on here

Measure being undertaken by Heathrow include:

  • Discouraging non-travelling friends and family from attending airport
  • Having an army of marshalls to guide and assist passengers (marshall will be wearing pink tabards)
  • The wearing of face masks to still be required at all times
  • Sanitizer gel and wipes will be available throughout Terminal 5
  • Toilets will be deep-cleaned / special robots with ultra-violet light will assist in sterilizing the area
  • BA is trialing a virtual queue system for check-in
  • BA will also be trialing at 25-second covid-19 antigen test
