A wild storm caused Perth Airport to go dark for several hours on Tuesday, delaying and cancelling scores of flights.

Perth Airport is up and running on Wednesday morning after an electrical blackout caused by wild weather temporarily shut the airport on Tuesday afternoon. A once-a-year type storm with wind gusts up to 130 kilometers per hour swept across metropolitan Perth on Tuesday, knocking out power to tens of thousands of properties, including Perth's busy airport.
