Aviation Action partners with EASA for Run the Runways 2024 Aviation Action, a leading mental health support charity specifically aimed at the aviation community, is excited to announce the return of Run the Runways for 2024. Following the success of previous Run the Runways fundraising campaigns, this year’s event will take off in May this year to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week and the charity's anniversary.

The 2024 campaign will be better than ever thanks to a partnership with EASA meaning participants will have the chance to virtually take on runways from EASA’s member states. John Franklin MBE, Head of Safety Promotion at EASA said “we are pleased to support this year’s Run the Runways to help raise awareness of mental health for aviation staff and we encourage organisations and their staff across Europe to get
involved in this great initiative.”

Martin Jarvis, Chairman at Aviation Action added "We have a genuine desire to continue to make a difference to people in the aviation community and have always been overwhelmed by the success of Run the Runways and the ability of such an event to bring the aviation community together towards a common goal. We are
particularly excited to be virtually spreading our wings this year thanks to the support of EASA and look forward to seeing our iconic running shirts via social media across Europe.”

Every penny raised on behalf of Aviation Action is invested directly back into our robust support network for our industry and support mechanisms, events and material. The funds raised during Run the Runways will help Aviation Action further develop the app in support of those within the Aviation and Aerospace community
struggling with their mental wellbeing by providing them with a tool to help take steps
to make positive changes. The funds raised will also help aviation action facilitate training and support for 5 aviation industry peer supporters.
