Global service provider, dnata, is to invest more than €200 million on a fully automated cargo centre at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

Set to open in 2024, it believes that dnata Cargo City Amsterdam will be one of the largest and most advanced facilities of its kind that will “significantly enhance cargo capacity in The Netherlands and create new, direct jobs with dnata”.

Located at Schiphol South-East, the 61,000sqm facility will  boast 19,000sqm of warehouse space, and be capable of processing over 850,000 tonnes of cargo annually including including perishables, pharmaceuticals, dangerous goods, mail, live animals, aircraft engines and vehicles.
