Norwegian’s latest traffic figures support the fact that the upturn in passenger numbers across Europe’s airports is gathering pace, the airline today revealing that it handled 1.9 million people across its network in June.

The total represents a 19% increase on the previous month and the highest number since the outbreak of the pandemic, with its flights enjoying 84.9% load factors.

“I am very satisfied that we operated almost 100% of our 400 to 450 daily scheduled flights this month. It has been a challenge due to a strike amongst aircraft technicians in Norway and the constraints at certain airports in Europe,” says Geir Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.
