Reportedly, the construction of the airport is expected to commence by end of August, after Adani Airport took over the reins from GVK Power and Infrastructure of Mumbai International Airport as well as NMIA.
According to the latest report filed by TOI, the flights that will operate from the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) will face a threat from birds, but the civil aviation regulator seems to be unaware of the hazard, experts suggested.
Besides, the experts mentioned that a bird monitoring system will be required to ascertain their flight path and movements during tidal hours at such sites.
