The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) and Delta Air Lines are partnering to launch a $242 million interior renovation of Terminal 1 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, improving the passenger experience.

The renovation will cover six out of seven concourses, 75 Delta gates, and will deliver a unified and modern design.

The renovations of Terminal 1 are split over three phases. The work has already begun in concourses D and F (late October). Renovation of Concourse C is set to start in February 2024, while improvements on Concourses A, B, and G and the skyway bridge connecting Concourses C and G are scheduled for 2025.

Some of the improvements passengers will be able to see are the introduction of new gate seating with power outlets, new carpeting in gate areas mirroring the experience at other Delta hub airports, a refreshed branding of the airline across all gate areas, and technology upgrades including dynamic flight information screens.

Delta Air Lines will invest $60 million, while the MAC is investing $182.5 million in the program. MSP is Delta's second-largest hub and the 19th busiest airport in North America.
