MAG reports a 4% rise in passenger traffic across network in April

Passenger traffic at Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports in the UK increased by 4% in April, according to operator MAG.

Officially 2.3 million passengers passed through Manchester Airport in April (+8.4%), with growth being driven by long-haul routes.

London Stansted Airport followed up March's impressive +6.1% upturn in numbers with a more modest 1% increase in April.

East Midlands Airport saw a slight dip in its passenger numbers, welcoming 393,532 passengers, 2.9% down on April 2018.
