Liverpool airport is testing new anti-drone equipment as regional facilities in the UK increase security to try to prevent the disruption that has hit London in recent weeks. “Liverpool John Lennon Airport is currently trialling specialist equipment to combat the threat of drones being used in the vicinity of the airport and to aid detection of those operating drones illegally in the area,” said a spokesman. He declined to go into detail, citing security concerns.
