Meeting Net Zero with the power of place: Space & Geospatial Virtual Pavilion for COP 26


We are thrilled to introduce Al Gore, former Vice President of the United States and renowned environmentalist, as a keynote speaker for the Space & Geospatial Virtual Pavilion for COP 26.


The 11-day Virtual Pavilion will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase how space data and geospatial intelligence can help the Transport sector to unlock significant opportunities by working collaboratively to tackle the climate emergency and help your industry achieve its Net Zero targets.


Sessions that will be held include:

  • The Future of Transport - curated by Location Data Scotland and Scottish Space Leadership Council and supported by University of Edinburgh
  • Connectivity, Space and Digital Technologies for Green Value - curated by European Space Agency
  • Climate Change in our Urban Environments - curated by Association for Geographic Information

Request for contributions to open consultations on the Future of Transport


The Department for Transport is seeking contributions to its Future of Transport programme. The programme's main aims are to:

  • Stimulate innovation in the transport sector
  • Create new transport markets
  • Secure a 21st century-transport system
  • Secure the UK's position as a world-leading innovator, decarbonising the transport system for the benefit of society

UK Service Robotics interviews - study Expression of Interest


Have your say on what is important to you in a Service Robotics Proving Ground. KTN is conducting a scoping study of robotics testing facilities across the UK on behalf of UKRI. We want to speak to you if you are a robotics testing facility, developer, or end-user.

As Glasgow prepares to host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), KTN is working in partnership with the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) on the ‘Road to COP’, a knowledge base and events series which showcases the story of technology transfer from one sector (automotive) to another.

Future Flight Phase 3


Phase 3 of this competition sees an investment of up to £65m in innovation projects demonstrating integrated aviation systems and either vehicle technologies or enabling technologies that enable new classes of electric or autonomous air vehicles.  Closes 3 November.

The Niche Vehicle Network runs three competitions annually, providing match-funding for niche vehicle technology organisations to accelerate the development of zero emission and low carbon vehicle technology from concept through to production.

Ofgem 2021: zero emission transport


Ofgem and Innovate UK are working together on the SIF – seeking ambitious, innovative projects with the potential to benefit consumers and accelerate the transition to net zero. Within the discovery phase there is a zero-emissions transport competition.  Closes 17 November.
