The redevelopment project will improve four of the airport's terminals.
Despite the latest improvements, the airport launched the JFK Redevelopment Program, which includes more than $19 billion in investments. The airport expects more than 75 million passengers to fly through JFK in 2030.
The JFK Redevelopment Program is "transforming JFK into a modern 21st-century airport" and encompasses four major terminal projects, The New Terminal One, Delta/JFKIAT - Terminal 4, JMP Terminal 6, and American Airlines - Terminal 8. $19 billion has been invested into improving the airport, generating more than 15,000 jobs. The improvements will bring a unified terminal layout, world-class facilities, centralized ground transportation options, expanded taxiways and gate capacity, and state-of-the-art security.
