Aeropuertos del Sureste (Asur) announced an investment of $28,496 million for its nine airports between 2024 and 2028. 75% of the total will go to Cancun.

Cancun International Airport will be the main beneficiary of the investment announced by Aeropuertos del Sureste (Asur) for the period 2024-2028 in its nine air terminals in the country, receiving $24,477 million (75%) of the $28,496 million projected by the concessionaire.

Although ASUR did not disclose the plan for the work, it did anticipate the dosage of the investment: $2,624 million in 2024, $4,493 million in 2025, $5,500 million in 2026, $3,861 million in 2027 and $4,999 million in 2028.

According to information published by El Economista, in 2024 Terminal 1 will be remodeled and Terminal 4 will be expanded. In addition, the intercommunication road with the Cancun-Airport terminal of the Mayan Train must be complemented.
