As the Easter travel season kicks in, airports in the UK are facing chaos and flight cancellations. Major victims of flight cancellations are passengers of British Airways and easyJet as almost 1,200 flights were canceled by UK airlines in the past week. British Airways and easyJet experienced flights being delayed.

Heathrow Airport is hit the hardest when it comes to chaos during the Easter travel season. On top of the chaos, staff shortage is contributing to the airport chaos at Heathrow. Highly anticipated flights for passengers were suddenly canceled and airlines struggle to bring back employees who were furloughed during the pandemic.

Airlines are simply scheduling more flights than they have the resources to deliver, and the situation is being compounded by soaring COVID rates in the UK and many staff calling in sick.
