The public inquiry into Bristol Airport's expansion proposal has drawn to a close, with a decision expected early next year.

The inquiry began in July. The airport is hoping to overturn North Somerset Council's decision to refuse its expansion plans.

In the final day of the inquiry on Friday, Bristol Airport claimed that North Somerset Council is being "hostile" and denied "unfair" claims that it put profit before residents' wellbeing.

However the council's barrister Reuben Taylor described the plans as unacceptable and unlawful.
