BAG Virtual Get Together- Lunch and Learn: Inclusion and Diversity – ‘The journey to inclusion’ in partnership with WDI Consulting *Register Now*
BAG recognises that a diverse and inclusive workforce in the broadest sense leads to more holistic decision making, increased innovation, higher performance, and importantly greater employee engagement. The BAG Board are committed to the agenda and we are working hard to listen and learn from others to ensure we raise standards and achieve common goals across the industry. BAG have partnered with WDI Consulting who are supporting the Board on our inclusion journey. We are delighted to invite Clare Russell and Lynn White from WDI Consulting who will share with our members some best practice and practical tips on how businesses can best foster an inclusive culture. We will also be joined by Heathrow Airport explaining why diverse and inclusive suppliers and partners are important to their business and one of our members Ocean 3D who will share the inclusion work they have been doing in aviation both in the UK & USA. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for BAG members to meet the BAG Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group: Louise Houston (Chair), Jacqui Johnson, Furah Naeem and Tim Walder. Jacqui Johnson will facilitate an interactive session and will provide an overview of BAG’s journey in D&I so far. There will be opportunity for Q&A with all our speakers and we will invite you, our members to share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions on D&I at BAG.

The British Aviation Group is excited to introduce Darrell Swanson and Dan Jones as co-leads of our Innovation Taskforce. Darrell Swanson is an industry leader in electric aviation focusing on infrastructure and demand modelling. With electric aviation being at the forefront of innovation the development of the BAG Innovation Task Force is the groups way of helping our members make the most of innovation in all its forms. People, processes and technology both sector specific and in adjacent sectors is where we will start and we are looking forward to the journey. Dan is the Atkins Market Director for Aviation and leads on technology solutions for aviation clients. As mentioned in our Chair’s update last month, this is a key area of focus for BAG not least in support of our sector’s response to the pandemic and the need to innovate in a changing market. There is already a packed agenda for this taskforce to work on! Look out for future updates and ways to get involved! |

BAG Board Inclusion Development Workshop
The 15th June marked an exciting step in the British Aviation Group Diversity and Inclusion roadmap as we accelerate our ambition to become a more inclusive organisation. Last week the BAG Board took part in their very first inclusion development workshop with our partners, WDI Consulting Limited. It was a powerful learning opportunity to educate and challenge ourselves to improve our organisational culture and ways of working. We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment and as such are starting with educating ourselves first to better support our members in their journeys through sharing best practice and promoting excellency across the industry. We look forward to sharing more insights from our journey. |
