ACC
ACC Advocacy Committee and ACC met with members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation’s Aviation Subcommittee for preliminary discussions on the 2023 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act, which was last signed into law in 2018. ACC participants shared members' expertise as a legislative resource and outlined key focus areas, including growing need for capital improvement projects and funding mechanisms; streamlining the regulatory process; the aviation industry's commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050; and workforce development. Congressional staffers understood ACC membership's priorities and there will be future collaboration in the coming months. ACC will continue advocating on behalf of the industry and collaborating with legislators for a robust FAA Reauthorization Act that aligns with ACC members' needs.
