The scheme reimagines the terminal’s layout to improve operational efficiency, relocating domestic functions and expanding the international departures area by 60%.
Consolidation of the international passenger processing facilities ensures a seamless and intuitive journey. Experiential retail environments and the adoptionof modern Japanese design references create a unique and inspirational experience for the millions of locals and visitors to the region.
The phased redevelopment will allow the terminal to remain fully operational and is scheduled to complete by 2025, in readiness for the Osaka Expo of the same year.
