Today, the House Appropriations Committee met to consider the Fiscal Year 2027 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act. The measure was approved by the Committee with a vote of 34 to 27.
Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee Chairman Steve Womack (R-AR) said, "America’s outstanding level of mobility and housing affordability has long set our nation apart and represents key components of the American dream. My Fiscal Year 2027 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development funding bill builds on that reputation of excellence by investing in the modernization of our national airspace system, providing resources to properly maintain and improve our roads, bridges, and railways, and giving vulnerable Americans the resources they need to keep a roof over their heads – setting them up for future success.
