Sacramento International Airport is preparing for a significant infrastructure boost and recently kicked off the development of a pedestrian walkway as part of a larger plan. The walkway will eventually help passengers move more easily within the airport and increase overall connectivity.
- Sacramento International Airport broke ground on a $140 million pedestrian walkway project to enhance passenger convenience and connectivity.
- The project received $33 million in grant funds as well as a federal loan and will feature $2.5 million worth of art pieces.
- The walkway is part of the larger $1.3 billion SMForward program, aiming to create better airport infrastructure and hundreds of jobs.
