Tenerife draws more than 7 million visitors tourists a year, searching for the year round sunshine, beaches, culture, food and lots more, which is why changes at Tenerife South Airport will be a welcome upgrade.

Aena has started the tender process for a complete remodelling of the terminal area, with the project now split into 57 sub-phases and work due to begin in autumn 2027.

The first stage will focus on reorganising the car park, followed by the new terminal spaces, baggage areas and the rest of the passenger building. Latest official reporting puts the Tenerife South investment at more than a whopping €550 million, with the wider plan covering a redesign of the terminal area, new technologies and a rebuilt layout that links better with the surroundings. Aena says the terminal surface will grow by almost 50%...
