The airport is expected to reopen for inbound air traffic from 16:00 EDT following flooding to the surrounding roads.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) has closed due to flooding caused by Hurricane Idalia, canceling over 90% of outbound services through Wednesday.

 Other Florida airports, including St. Pete-Clearwater and Sarasota Bradenton, also faced closures, with disruption extending upwards into Atlanta and Savannah.

 Services to Bermuda have similarly been suspended until August 31 due to Hurricane Franklin.
