Several US airports are set to receive an infrastructure boost as the government hands out more than $500 million in grants. The funding is part of a larger project to develop and maintain airport infrastructure in the country. Many airports have already completed projects funded by this scheme, while a new set of airports, including SeaTac, will receive money now.

  • Over $500 million in grants awarded by US Department of Transportation to modernize airports in 47 states.
  • Significant funding allocated for SeaTac, Kailua/Kona, and other airports for structural upgrades and safety enhancements.
  • The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Airport Infrastructure Grants program aims to allocate a total of $15 billion to airports nationwide.
