Travellers at Perth Airport were hit with major delays on Tuesday morning after a system wide outage sparked chaos at check-in.
The IT outage impacted check-in at terminals as well as wreaking havoc on the airport’s networking system.
Several outbound flights were delayed as a result while passengers waited tirelessly with their bags in long lines to manually check into their flight.
Self-service stands and bag drops came to a halt in the early hours of Tuesday, with airline staff forced to deal with a back log of customers waiting to check into their flights.
