The subsidy support up to 2035 would take the Welsh Government's funding commitment since it acquired the airport back in 2013 to nearly £400m - but people commenting on the plan think the money could be better spent
The Welsh Government has announced plans to inject over £200m into Cardiff Airport over the next ten years, but it's far from a popular decision according to the people posting comments on our story.
The funds will be used to attract new airlines and routes, with the goal of exceeding two million passengers annually. This subsidy support, which extends until 2035, will bring the Welsh Government's total investment in the airport since its acquisition in 2013 to nearly £400m. The terminal building and facilities are also set to receive upgrades as part of this funding.
