Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is likely to see a slower increase in traffic in the near term as geopolitical conditions create uncertainty for the newly opened airport, its operator Zurich Airport International AG has said.

The airport began commercial operations on June 15 and recorded a sharp rise in activity in its first full month. It handled 1,044 flights and around 77,000 passengers in July, compared with 204 flights and 25,000 passengers in June.

In its investor presentation for the first half of 2026, Zurich Airport International said, "Slower ramp-up expected due to challenging geopolitical environment, with near-term performance remaining subject to elevated uncertainty."..
