As part of its policy of investing in critical infrastructure for a sustainable future, the Federal Government has earmarked the sum of NGN 199.03 billion for various projects in the aviation, transport and road sectors in the 2020 Appropriation Bill. Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this in a presentation of the breakdown of the 2020 Budget in Abuja. Highlights of the budget proposal indicates that the sum of NGN 1 billion has been set aside for the construction of a terminal building at Enugu Airport while NGN 10 billion will be deployed to the construction of a second runway at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The Abuja airport runway project would include asphalt overlay, marking and lighting in compliance with air safety standards. #1126.23
