U.S. airlines are signaling tens of thousands of employee layoffs at the end of September, as funding from the CARES Act runs dry and Congress continues to be mired in finalizing an agreement on a new COVID-19 relief bill. With layoffs and furloughs looming, the Trump Administration is reportedly looking to take executive actions to provide some funding to airlines.
