Heathrow is revising its passenger forecast for 2022 as it expects a strong wave of summer travelers. Europe's busiest airport now expects 52.8 million passengers, up 16% from previous estimates. However, even this increase won't put the airport into profitability, and more challenges remain.

In an update today, seen by Bloomberg, London Heathrow Airport (LHR) announced that it expects to see a return to 65% of pre-pandemic passenger traffic in 2022. This represents 52.8 million passengers, driven primarily by easing travel restrictions and high booking demand for this summer.
