Liege has become the first Belgian airport to announce its readiness to accommodate the distribution of sustainable aviation fuel to its airline customers.

It notes that in the last few months of 2022, the airport’s fuel storage facilities have been audited and its storage and distribution procedures reviewed to ensure that they are equipped to accommodate the arrival of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The announcement follows the news that the NATO Pipeline System (CEPS) is ready to allow for the transport of sustainable aviation fuels as from tomorrow.
