On August 26, 2023, the Kenyan government revoked the contract of the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) and appointed new leaders for some facilities in response to the deteriorating services at airports across the country, aggravated by persistent power outages.
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has unveiled plans to appoint 11 new executives, including KAA Managing director and CEO alongside managers for 10 airports. The announcement, made on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, indicates KAA’s intention to fill these pivotal roles.
The incoming Managing Director and CEO will succeed Henry Ogoye, who was appointed as an interim replacement by Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen in August 2023.
