Gabon is gearing up for the launch of its new national airline, drawing on Morocco's expertise in the aviation sector. The Morocco Aviation Private Academy (MAPA) has been contracted to provide training for civil aviation professionals in Gabon, as announced in a press release on April 24, 2024.
To enhance technical and operational skills in civil aviation, Mr. Samuel SAMBA, Deputy Director General of the Gabonese National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), journeyed to Benslimane, Morocco, to engage with representatives from MAPA. “The purpose of this meeting was to formalize a partnership agreement between the two institutions. The memorandum of understanding aims to deepen their collaboration in the areas of training and development of technical and operational skills in civil aviation in Gabon,” read the statement.
MAPA, based in Morocco, is a professional training school in the aviation sector. It provides training programs for future pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians (B1 and B2 technicians), airport security agents, handling agents (ground operations management), and other aviation-related professions.
