We are pleased to inform you that our Heathrow Lift Off Q1 2024 event opportunity is now live on CompeteFor.
The theme for Q1 2024 is Sustainability. We want to keep transforming the service for our passengers and our sustainability strategy Heathrow 2.0 is our plan to connect people and planet.
There is a lot of work happening at Heathrow for us to become a more sustainable business. So, our focus areas for this Lift Off event includes supporting our Zero Waste Strategy to reduce waste and improve how we use materials, and our Nature Positive Plan to reduce our impacts on nature.
Efforts to become more sustainable is one of the top priorities in our operations and construction activities. We are particularly interested in potential solutions relating to the below areas:
- Materials and waste management – particular focus areas relevant to:
- Facilitating re-use
- Sustainable packaging
- Eliminating single use plastics and products (plastic water bottles, coffee cups)
- Innovative waste management solutions
- Behaviour change
- Environmental monitoring technologies (e.g., air quality, surface water and ground water, biodiversity, noise)
- Nature based solutions
- Sustainable materials (e.g., contain significant recyclable materials, designed for reuse, have low environmental impact)
- Solution to track material provenance
- AI and environmental data solutions
- Energy generation
