London’s Heathrow Airport is celebrating the end of a successful summer after 7.5 million passengers passed through its facilities in August.

The UK hub says that during the month, passengers checked in more bags than ever before, and claims that its baggage support team “went the extra mile” to help airline handlers get bags away on time.

It also notes that passenger satisfaction levels were higher than before the pandemic, which the airport believes reflects the investment it, the airlines and their ground handlers have made in recruiting and training over 25,000 new staff in the last two years.
