The Greek government has recently announced plans to invest 200 million euros in the nation’s regional airports up until 2030.
These plans have been announced by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Dimas. The purpose behind this plan is to improve air connectivity and infrastructure of the region, and thereby facilitate growth in the tourism industry.
These plans will cater to some important requirements like increasing the capacity of the airports, building new terminal buildings, constructing better runway facilities, and improving security measures to cope with increasing demands.
