Dublin and Cork airports welcomed over three million passengers between them in October as traffic levels continue to rise at Ireland’s two busiest gateways.
A total of 2.8 million passed through the doors of Dublin Airport in October, which was 4% higher than in the same month last year, according to airport operator daa.
While more than 253,000 used Cork Airport in October – a significant 23% up on the corresponding month a year ago.
A busy October, buoyed by tens of thousands of rugby fans travelling to and from France for the Rugby World Cup, saw a further 177,000 transfer and transit passengers use Dublin Airport.
