Nearly five years after the construction of Sydney's new $5.3 billion airport began in the city's west, residents are set to find out the potential impacts of aircraft noise, with the release of preliminary flight paths as early as this week.
The Western Sydney International Airport in Badgerys Creek will be the first in the state to operate with no curfew.
In May, the federal government said an online tool was being developed to show the preliminary flight paths and aircraft noise impacts.
The spokesperson said it was anticipated the noise tool would be released in June.
