Maastricht Aachen Airport (MAA) is set to be one of the regional airports to host the first publicly accessible electric-powered international flights in Europe.

The Limburg airport is a partner in the Electrifly sustainable aviation project, together with airports in Aachen, Liège, ASL group and Chinese electric car company NIO.

In July and August, passengers can book a flight in the Pipistrel Velis Electro, a certified electric plane, to fly to Aachen in Germany and Liège in Belgium.
