FAA to start the environmental evaluation of renovation and expansion projects for West Virginia Yeager Airport
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released a statement in that it announces the start of the environmental review for various projects at Yeager Airport in West Virginia. Let's have a closer look at which projects the FAA is going to evaluate from an environmental perspective.
The environmental review will include aspects such as airfield, safety, and terminal improvements. These have been proposed by the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority (CWVRAA), and the Federal Aviation Authority is said to be holding several public meetings on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the projects, three of which are scheduled for early November.
Among the projects, the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority (CWVRAA), which owns Yeager Airport, has proposed a shift and extension of runway 5-23 and the parallel taxiway.
