At least 45 arriving and departing flights have been cancelled throughout the day, with arrivals affected into the evening.

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has paused arriving flights due to severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours. The airport has advised that despite the disruption to arrivals, departing flights are now operating normally.

This comes after flight operations were temporarily suspended for a total of 25 minutes earlier in the day due to a passing storm. According to AirLive, a total of 21 departures and 24 arrivals were cancelled, and videos soon began surfacing on social media highlighting the extent of the flooding
