Attendees at the SESAR JU conference are backing air traffic management (ATM) modernisation as a way to cut aviation emissions and tackle congestion
The recent entry into force of the EU’s SES2+ legislation, along with new reports from EASA and industry, have reinforced the case for accelerating ATM transformation. Modernising ATM could reduce aviation’s carbon footprint and help alleviate air traffic congestion. The SESAR JU, which is leading Europe’s ATM modernisation, is now implementing the recently adopted European ATM Master Plan – Europe’s strategic roadmap for ATM innovation.
