Egypt and Oman have on April 24, 2024 signed a bilateral agreement aimed at maximizing positive returns and creating an attractive airspace for companies in the civil aviation sector. This agreement includes a joint action plan to increase air traffic between the two countries. 

Muhammad Abbas, Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation, hosted Eng. Nayef bin Ali bin Hamad Al Abri, Chairman of Oman's Civil Aviation Authority, and his delegation at the Ministry's headquarters in Cairo. The discussions delved into potential areas of cooperation to bolster the aviation partnership between Egypt and Oman.

The bilateral air transport agreement aims to streamline operational and technical aspects to serve the mutual interests of both countries. For his part, Eng. Nayef bin Ali bin Hamad Al Abri - Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority in the Sultanate of Oman expressed his “aspiration for more cooperation and strong partnerships between the two countries, praising the development boom that the Arab Republic of Egypt is witnessing in various fields and among them is the civil aviation sector, which witnessed the implementation of many development works during the past period.”
