The agreement for the construction of the International Airport of Dominica was signed between the government and the Montreal Management Company Establishment Limited (MMCE) on Wednesday during a public ceremony in Windsor Park Stadium. Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, President Charles Savarin, CEO of MMCE Anthony Haiden, Cabinet Members and the country’s general public, participated in the historic moment.
He said that the International Airport would complete in five years, with direct flights coming from Europe and the United States of America. The project is estimated to cost over 1 billion Eastern Caribbean dollars and will be built in five phases. The International Airport will be accomodating big commercial and cargo flights from across the world.
