The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) announced that its chairman Vu The Phiet has been arrested by the Ministry of Public Security over alleged bidding violations.
ACV said in a statement on March 5 it had received information from the ministry's Investigation Police Agency that Phiet had been taken into custody for allegedly "violating bidding regulations, causing serious consequences."
According to ACV, he is also accused of accepting money to facilitate contractors winning bids...
