Calgary Airports today released its 2025 Annual Report, Elevate, reflecting a year of continued growth, strong performance and major investments across YYC Calgary International Airport and YBW Springbank Airport.
In 2025, YYC welcomed 19.4 million travellers, representing 2.7% growth over 2024, including two consecutive summer months with more than two million travellers moving through the airport – a first in YYC’s history.
Notable highlights from the 2025 Annual Report include:
- Welcomed 19.4 million passengers passed to YYC, a 2.7% increase over 2024.
- Added 13 new routes, for a total of 108 non-stop destinations at the end of 2025.
- Reopened YYC's West Runway, after two construction seasons of work to completely rebuild the four-kilometre runway. The project was completed on time and under its $201 million budget.
- Opened Phase I of Centralized Security Screening – consolidating three domestic security screening checkpoints into one and creating a smoother, more efficient start to the travel journey for thousands of travellers each day.
- Advanced YYC AeroNex, Calgary Airports’ long-term development initiative, with announcements of the Lufthansa Technik engine repair, maintenance and overhaul facility, and the Alberta Centre for Excellence training facility.
